Bushnell Pro 1M User Rating: 4.20 Stars 4.20 out of 5 (18 reviews)

Score compiled from multiple sources.

After checking out the features and product manual for the Bushnell’s new top of the line golf rangefinder, the Bushnell Pro 1M, we’re really looking forward to putting our hands on one of these powerful laser rangefinders. It’s  available in a Tournament Edition and a Slope Edition. Of course the Slope Edition will cost more and not be legal for tournament play, as it measures elevation.

Although the Bushnell Pro 1M not the first rangefinder to have 7x magnification, it is a rare find. The only other one of which we are aware is the Bushnell 1600.  There are a few features that we haven’t seen on previous Bushnell models that are worth mentioning.

  • Vivid Display Indicators™ – This is probably going to be what sets the new Bushnell rangefinders apart. It promises to dramatically improved contrast, clarity and light transmission while increasing brightness of the digital readout, making distance readings legible in low light environments. This technology will also be included in the soon to be released Bushnell Tour Z6 models.
  • Can measure up 1,000 on non-reflective objects and 1,760 yards on reflective.
  • Improved battery life indicator.
  • 35% improvement in battery life

  1. Robert Jones says

Purchased a Pro 1M Slope from Bushnell after a prior pinseeker unit purcheased in 2007 failed. Used new unit 2.5 rounds and it failed. Unit was replaced and I played 4.5 rounds and it failed. I feel the ’07 unit should have lasted more than 5 years and with lastest experience I do not plan to own any additional Bushnell products.

Robert, sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. That’s a real surprise from Bushnell – I still have a working Bushnell I purchased in 1998 and it has survived some serious drops and heavy rain. In looking at reviews for the Bushnell 1M, it appears you’re not the only one who’s had problems. Here’s hoping there will be some other options with a 7x zoom in the near future.

Indeed, still got my 1M from over a decade ago…first and only golf rangefinder ive ever had

Glad you’re still loving your Bushnell M1. Laser rangefinders are one of the best investments you can make in your golf game and the M1 was one of the best!
