Bushnell V2 Battery

Bushnell V2 Replacement battery
Order the Bushnell V3

The manual recommends replacing your Bushnell V2 battery every 12 months, but it’s still a good idea to carry an extra battery with you in the bag. It’s easy enough to replace even during a round of golf. When the low battery indicator appears, you can replace the battery before it goes completely dead. The low battery indicator is visible in the display of your viewfinder as seen in the graphic below.

The Bushnell Tour V2 requires a CR-2 3-volt lithium battery. To replace it, remove the battery cap by lifting the battery door tab and then rotating counter clockwise. Insert a CR-2 3-volt lithium battery into the compartment positive end first. Replace the battery cap and you’re good to go.

  1. I lost my cap that holds cr-2 lithium battery/ can I get a replacement cap?

  2. Styrbjörn Olsson says

When I changed my battery I just get a fix picture in the display which I can’t change in any way. The mode button does not work after the change. The new battery is Energizer CR2 lithium 3 v. The picture neither close down and is “frozen”.

What model is your rangefinder? You might try to remove the battery and press the power button a few times, then reinsert the battery. If that doesn’t solve it, try contacting Bushnell customer support: http://bushnellgolf.com/contact/

  3. Have youve had complaints that its very difficult to get the cap of the battery back on correctly? Ive taken it to sporting goods store to try to help me, but they could help either. Any suggestions?

  4. How in the world do you get the battery cover off my Bushnell Tour4. Afraid to use a pair of players. It won’t move counter clock wise.

I have a Bushnell Tour V3. I replaced my battery and now it is set to measure distance in meters. How can I adjust it to display in yards? TX DC

      Hi DC,

Below is an excerpt from the Bushnell Tour V3 Manual. Thanks for stopping by Golf Rangefinder Shop!

MODE and UNIT OF MEASURE OPTIONS
The TOUR V3 can be used to measure distances in yards or meters. The unit of measure indicators are located in the lower right portion of the LCD. To select between yards and meters, press and hold the POWER/FIRE button. The display will begin to cycle through the setup options: Yards w/JOLT, Yards, Meters w/JOLT, Meters (for details on the JOLT feature, see “About JOLT”). When the units and JOLT mode you want to use are displayed, release the POWER/FIRE button to select it. If you are changing from yards to meters, a change in unit of measure will be indicated by the illumination of the M for meter indicator while the Y for Yard indicator is turned off. If you are changing from meters to yards, the opposite will occur. The TOUR V3 will return to the last unit of measure setting used each time the unit is turned on.

  6. Can I use a CR123 battery in my Bushnell V2 rangefinder?

    • Golf Rangefinder Shop says

Hi Steve. I don’t believe you can use a CR123 battery in the Bushnell Tour V2. The CR2 and the CR123 are different sizes and I don’t think it would fit. The manual calls for a CR2.

  7. Can’t find cr2 batteries. Is there an equivalent?

  8. New CR2 inserted into a V2. Not used again for 6 months, only to find battery TOTALLY flat. 0.014V detected !
I thought that maybe i had inserted the battery the wrong way around. No + or – indicators on the V2. Finally i read the manual which states that insert positive end in first. Raises a few question i guess….Why no +/- indicator on unit ? Is it absolutely essential that the battery polarity is correct? I have never seen a battery drained to that extent,so is this to be expected from an incorrectly inserted battery ?

    • Golf Rangefinder Shop says

Interesting. Sorry, I don’t have the answer to any of your questions. I feel like there must be a +/- indication on there somewhere, but they are sometimes hard to find. Hope you have better luck with the correctly inserted battery.

  9. Does it matter on what brand of CR2 battery you use?
