they are small, super easy to use and get great battery life. The VS4 builds on that by adding water resistance. Voice and/or digital display provide distances to the front, middle and back of the greens. Dynamic green view shows the shape of the green from your angle of approach and shot measuring gives you direct feedback about your game. Early user reviews are terrific and the price is nice! A watchband can be purchased separately.

GolfBuddy BB4 BandWe are totally jazzed just thinking about doing our GolfBuddy BB4 Band Review. The truth is that we love the convenience of golf GPS watches, but for those of us with small wrists, they’re a little bulky. Although the BB4 can give you the time, it looks more like a fitness band than a golf watch and we are expecting it to be much more comfortable than any of the golf watches currently on the market.

The BB4 will provide distances to the front, middle and back of every green, as well as the time of day. You can also measure your shots with it and your steps, as it has a pedometer. The battery is USB rechargeable and lasts 10 hours. It will be available in black or white.

GolfBuddy will be releasing several other new golf GPS devices in 2014 and all of them look very promising. Look for these new handheld unit, watch and voice models from GolfBuddy in the near future.

Overall, the new Izzo Swami watch performs well… The distances seem to be as good as any of the golf GPS watches that we’ve tested and the price is better than most. We like that it has a scorecard feature and it’s reasonably easy to use, but Izzo could have saved us a few steps if they had started with par as the default score for each hole, rather than zero. As it is, you have to hit the up button for each shot you hit on a hole.

The Izzo Swami watch is an incredible value. Prices change fast in this market, but at less than $100, this is a great pick if you’re on a tight budget. You won’t find a slick touchscreen or any layup or hazard distances on the Swami Watch. The fonts are a little small, which could be a deal-breaker for those requiring +2 or higher reading glasses, but for a solid performing golf GPS watch with a scorecard feature and low price, you have to consider this one a top contender. It all started with a disastrous product launch and many headaches for those who made an early purchase, but now, the Callaway uPro MX+ is a great deal for golfers.

The early ratings for the uPro MX+ were horrible mainly because the Callaway uExplore website wasn’t working properly for registrations and downloads. Unfortunately for Callaway, they didn’t recover quickly enough to overcome the poor start. For consumers who are looking to buy now, there is an excellent value to be had in the Callaway uPro MX+.

Although we formerly recommended against buying the uPro MX+, the reviews have gotten much better over time and the price is so low on this unit that you really can’t go wrong. It comes preloaded with courses in Basic Mode and GoMode and now there are no fees for downloading courses in ProMode. The features rival those found in $300 devices.

A full-featured golf GPS under $75 is unbelievable, so despite the ratings scores, the uPro MX+ is definitely worth a look!
