Here’s a summary of our Gogogo Sport Vpro GS03 Review

The Gogogo GS03 is a budget-friendly laser rangefinder that works well for both golf and hunting. Although you can use any laser rangefinder for golf or hunting, it’s much easier if you are using one that is designed for the sport for which you are using it. Fortunately, the Gogogo Sport Vpro GS03 has a switch that makes it work well for either sport. That said, we think this is an excellent option for golfers, even if they don’t hunt. Just look at the price!

This unit has Slope mode that can be turned on and off to make it tournament legal. It has Jolt technology so you can feel it when you’ve locked onto your target and it has 6x magnification. To get those specs in Bushnell rangefinder, you would have to pay hundreds more. The build quality may make the Gogogo Sport a little less durable, but our bigger concern is for those who like to play in the rain. This model is not water-resistant.

There are several different versions of the Gogogo Sport Vpro. The most expensive version has a built in magnet that makes it easy to mount on your golf cart. Although we love this feature, at the time of this writing, the price difference well over the cost of a magnetic strap. For our money, the lowest price version of this model is an incredible value.

  1. Just got the GS03 for a present and noticed it doesn’t have a magnet , can I add a magnet to it without messing anything up? Thanks

  2. Brad Taylor says

Just got this rangefinder, some folks online say it is illegal because it doesn’t have a physical slope on/off switch. I also noticed that if I aim it at something straight out, it reads a distance less then if I stood in the same spot and pointed the rangefinder upwards, which makes me think it is adjusting the distance based on slope in all 3 modes. I am hoping that the first mode is not including slope adjustments so I can use it in tournaments. Obviously the second mode is showing slope, but I am not sure if the rangefinder is actually adjusting the distance even in mode 1 to include the slope, and if so, can it be turned off? Thanks, Brad

    • Golf Rangefinder Shop says

I believe you can use it legally in Scan mode, but if choose golf mode, it shows the actual distance and the slope calculated distance as well as the angle of the slope – so that would not be legal for tournament play.
