After looking at user ratings, we had initially decided not to do a Bushnell NEO Ghost review, but with its current price point and Bushnell’s excellent record in golf GPS watches, we decided to take a second look.

We started looking at the feedback from the most recent reviews as sometimes companies work out issues of which the first wave of buyers was critical. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case with the Neo Ghost. Although 75% of users are fairly happy with their purchase, about one in five was totally dissatisfied. Usually, the criticism was because the unit either failed to perform at all – in some cases permanently and in others just shutting down during a round.

So to get to the bottom line on this quickly, here’s our takeaway….

If you choose to buy the Neo Ghost, you will save a little money, but you are gambling that you will be one of the lucky 75%. If you can spend $20-50 more and get a very similar unit with a better track record.
