If you haven’t already had to replace your SkyCaddie SG5 battery, chances are the time is coming soon. Besides that, if you forget to recharge your SG5, it’s easy enough to swap out the battery during your round.

To switch the battery out of the SkyCaddie SG5, remove the battery cover by loosening the screw and pulling back the rubber USB cover. Slide the current battery out and an angle and disconnect. Angle the replacement battery to align the two pegs on each side of the battery with the channels on the SkyCaddie. Slide the battery down until it snaps into place and then replace the battery cover and tighten the screw.

The manual recommends replacing your Bushnell V2 battery every 12 months, but it’s still a good idea to carry an extra battery with you in the bag. It’s easy enough to replace even during a round of golf. When the low battery indicator appears, you can replace the battery before it goes completely dead. The low battery indicator is visible in the display of your viewfinder as seen in the graphic below.

The Bushnell Tour V2 requires a CR-2 3-volt lithium battery. To replace it, remove the battery cap by lifting the battery door tab and then rotating counter clockwise. Insert a CR-2 3-volt lithium battery into the compartment positive end first. Replace the battery cap and you’re good to go.
